Drying

Drying is one of the most delicate stages of the production cycle and takes place in two distinct steps.

Immediately after demoulding, the pieces are left to dry at room temperature. Recognising the right moment to move on to the next stage is a technical skill gained through experience: acting too soon or too late can create internal stresses, warping or cracks that are difficult to detect with the naked eye.

Once the correct degree of pre-drying is reached, the pieces are transferred to our dedicated dryers, where temperature and humidity are kept under constant control. A gradual, uniform drying curve ensures that every piece reaches the firing stage free of defects and dimensionally stable.
